KATHMANDU, July 16: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the government will not turn a blind eye to wrongdoing and will take action against anyone found guilty, regardless of their position.
Responding to media queries on Wednesday regarding the audio scandal involving outgoing Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Rajkumar Gupta, Gurung said the minister had already resigned on moral grounds and a new minister had assumed the office.

Gurung, who also serves as the government spokesperson, confirmed that an investigation process will proceed and added, “If proven guilty, action will be taken.”
He said that the government would act based on facts and truth. “We all want a corruption-free Nepal. Whoever the wrongdoer—be it a minister, secretary, or any official—must be held accountable,” he said.
