News should not be traded for money, ads: FNJ Prez

KATHMANDU, Oct 18: Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) President Shiva Gaunle urged the journalists not to write news against the spirit of Journalism.



The FNJ would not give support to anyone who writes violating the journalists´ code of conduct.[break]



Speaking at an interaction on ´Media Role in Agricultural Development´ organized by the Everest Media Private Limited, he said the media persons should play vital role to write for the promotion of the agricultural sector.



Kiran Nepal, Editor of the Himal Khabar Magazine, underscored the need of giving place to the skilled manpower available in the country taking joint initiatives by the government and from the private sector in the context when a large number of Nepali youths were leaving the country seeking jobs abroad.



Chief of the Nepal Agricultural Research Council Bishnu Aryal said there is a condition of managing 80 per cent people by the three per cent budget of the state.



Former Chairman of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Pradeep Kumar Shrestha said the FNCCI is for how to utilize the findings of trade researches.



The FNCCI has raised voice for the development of agricultural sector with the theme ´a village a product´.
