KATHMANDU, Oct 25: Newly elected Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi has assumed his new responsibility on Wednesday.
On Monday, the government had appointed Regmi to the top post sidelining other two secretaries who were seniors to him.

Regmi has been appointed to the post as the 24th chief secretary after Chief Secretary Rajendra Kishor Chhetri retired on Tuesday on the age ground. Regmi will take charge as the chief secretary for three years.
