New Maruti Swift Dzire to arrive in July

KATHMANDU, June 2: Arun Intercontinental -- sole authorized distributor of Maruti Suzuki vehicles in Nepal -- is planning to introduce the all new Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire by July.



“We will introduce two variants VXI and ZXI in petrol segment but will not be able to introduce the diesel segment as the demand of diesel segment is very high in India itself,” said Vishal Shrestha, marketing manager of the company.[break]



According to the company, Maruti Swift Dzire is a much better car compared to its predecessor with the new chromed front grill, trendy bumpers, stylish alloy wheels, improved rear tail lamps, integrated turn integrators along with alluring silhouette on the whole exterior.



The rear end also blends perfectly in this new model with the boot space reduced to 316 litres from the earlier 440 litres in order to keep the vehicle under 4 meter mark.



The interiors of the new Dzire gives a more comfortable and roomy feel along with the increased width and height of the cabin and the latest beige and black treatment. Besides it has dual tone dashboard, new steering wheel, integrated audio system and auto climate control feature among others.



“Though the engine of the new Dzire is same as that of older version it is more refined and the customers can get 150 plus features in the new car,” said Shrestha.



The cars are equipped with 1.2 liter K-series petrol engine combined with VVT (Variable Valve Timing) technology to derive improvement in the power and fuel efficiency. The car delivers a mileage of 19.1 km per liter, maximum power of 86 bhp at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 114 nm at 4,000 rpm.



To ensure safety for the users, the car has safety features such as front dual SRS airbags, ELR seatbelts, ABS (Antilock Braking System), brake assist, EBD and an Engine Drag Control system.



As the existing variant of Swift Dzire is the company´s top selling car in the sedan segment, the company is hopeful that customers will love the new Dzire as well.



“As the cars are yet to arrive we are yet to fix the price of the cars,” said Shrestha.
