KATHMANDU, March 23: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday witnessed landslide fall of 54.62 points to close at 2,614.68 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,669.31 points and went to a straight fall throughout the trading period. The market has been going into a bearish trend for the past few weeks.

All the 13 trading groups lost in their market prices. Non-life insurance plunged by the highest of 268.42 points, while a total of seven groups were recorded as losers.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined 8.37 points. Daily turnover amount however increased to Rs 6.32 billion from Rs 4.56 billion on Thursday.
Among the individual companies, only 13 were gainers while 230 were registered as losers. Himalayan Reinsurance Limited had the biggest turnover of Rs 420.63 million.
Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the topmost loser. NMB 50, a scheme under NMB Mutual Fund, gained the largest of 3.94 percent of its market value.
