NEPSE gains double digit growth with daily turnover of Rs 11.54 billion

The market saw an uptick as manufacturing and processing, life insurance, investment, non-life insurance, mutual funds, and banking subgroups recorded gains. The share value of 91 companies rose, with Guardian Micro Life Insurance hitting the positive circuit.

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday gained double digit growth, increasing by 11.66 points to close at 2,755.40 points.


The market saw an uptick as manufacturing and processing, life insurance, investment, non-life insurance, mutual funds, and banking subgroups recorded gains. The share value of 91 companies rose, with Guardian Micro Life Insurance hitting the positive circuit.

Meanwhile, 148 companies were registered as losers.


Shares worth Rs 11.5483 billion were traded in the market. Himalayan Re-Insurance had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 956.4 million. 


Similarly, Citizen Life's shares worth Rs 614.8 million, Nepal Re-Insurance's shares worth Rs 602.9 million and NRN Infrastructure Development's shares worth Rs 406.8 million were traded.
