KATHMANDU, April 8: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday declined 3.44 points to close at 2,666.61 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,670.06 points and plunged to the day’s low at 2,632.13 points within the first two hours. However, the market went to an upward graph and hit the day’s high at 2,674.88 points when the trading time was five minutes left. The market shed around eight points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Four out of the 13 groups were the gainers. Manufacturing and processing escalated by the largest of 109.23 points, which was followed by trading, non-life insurance and finance groups. Hotels and tourism index fell by the highest of 30.60 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 1.22 points. Daily turnover amount also declined to Rs 5.30 billion from Rs 5.65 billion on Monday.
Among the individual companies, 122 were gainers while 123 were registered as losers. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the biggest turnover of Rs 591.44 million.
With a decline of 5.85 percent in its market value, Barahi Hydropower Public Limited recorded as the biggest loser. Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited and Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained 10 percent of their market values.
