The NA said it facilitated dialogue among stakeholders after the protest to prevent the crisis from worsening. The NA also rejected allegations of political ambition or power intervention, saying its role was to help resolve the political vacuum created during the protests, not to influence governance.
The army also clarified that internal security is primarily the responsibility of the police and the Armed Police Force (APF), with the army serving as a last resort, and that symbolic gestures of national unity should not be interpreted as political messaging. Highlighting its long-standing record of supporting constitutional transitions and democratic continuity, the NA called for an objective analysis of past crises to strengthen security agencies and ensure national welfare.
As Nepal prepares for upcoming elections, the army pledged continued coordination with security institutions to ensure peaceful and fear-free voting, reaffirming its dedication to the Constitution, national unity, and democratic governance.
