KATHMANDU, Oct 2: Nepal recorded 867 new cases of COVID-19 alongwith 1,123 recoveries and nine deaths on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population.
As many as 8,219 tests were conducted on Saturday. Of them, 659 PCR tests and 208 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. Similarly, 83,373 doses of vaccines were administered across the country on the day.

There are currently 17,642 active cases of COVID-19 cases across the country. Of them, 16,371 are in home isolation, 1,271 in institutional isolation, 350 in ICUs and 112 on ventilators. Likewise, 239 people are currently in quarantine facilities.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 255 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 164 were recorded in Kathmandu, 26 in Bhaktapur and 65 in Lalitpur districts.
