Nepal Police chief stresses on police-civilian collaboration

BHIMDUTTANAGAR, Feb 3: Inspector General of Police Upendra Kanta Aryal has stressed on collaboration between the police force and the citizens for crime prevention, investigation and boosting social security. 



Speaking in a program after inaugurating a building of the riot control police battalion at Bani of Kanchanpur district on Thursday, IGP Aryal said the lone efforts of the police would not be sufficient for checking crime and maintaining law and order.

"The society can never compromise with the criminals and the police needs the full cooperation of the citizens to face the growing challenges of crime prevention," he said. 


IGP Aryal also laid stress on enhancing the capacity of the police force in terms of improved working style, technology and human resources to take on the growing security challenges. 


On the occasion, IGP Aryal inaugurated the barracks, office block and the quarters guard block of the Nepal Police's riot control battalion at Bani. These structures were constructed in two phases. More buildings are being constructed for the battalion, it is stated.
