KATHMANDU, June 18: The government has initiated efforts to evacuate Nepali citizens currently in Israel in view of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
The Embassy of Nepal in Israel has begun collecting details of Nepalis in Israel and Iran for rescue purposes. In a public notice, the embassy, based in Tel Aviv, announced that it has set up an online registration system to facilitate the rescue and repatriation of Nepali citizens.

The embassy stated, “In light of the recent developments in Israel, we have started collecting information to obtain a basis for the rescue, repatriation and other necessary assistance for Nepali citizens who are in trouble or distress.” The notice also mentioned that those interested can register online to participate.
After Israel launched a direct attack on Iran’s nuclear sites, an explosion occurred in the capital, Tehran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the war could be long-lasting, while Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei stated that Israel has “brought misfortune upon itself.” Given the potential depth and duration of this conflict, the Nepali Embassy has begun collecting information to facilitate the rescue of Nepali citizens.
