Nepal eliminated from SAFF U-17 following defeat to Bangladesh

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Nepal has lost to Bangladesh in the South Asian Football Confederation (SAFC) U-17 Women's Championship. 



With the defeat today to Bangladesh by 4-1 goals, Nepal has been eliminated from the SAFF Women's U-17 Championship. Nepal collected only three points from four matches.

In the match held at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan, Saurabh Akhand Preeti scored a hat-trick to give Bangladesh the victory with one more goal from Thunue Marma. 


Meanwhile, Captain Bhumika Budhathoki scored a consolation goal for Nepal in injury time of the first half.
