Nepal Army urges immediate return of looted weapons

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: The Nepal Army (NA) has called for the immediate return of weapons and ammunition looted from security personnel during the Gen Z-led protests.



In a statement issued Wednesday, the Directorate of Public Relations and Information urged protesters to hand over seized firearms, bullets and other security equipment to the authorities.

The army warned that misuse of such weapons could result in loss of lives and property, adding that anyone found in possession would face legal action. The statement also requested the public not to use security uniforms without authorization.
