KATHMANDU, Oct 8: The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has called for proposals from partner organizations willing to construct temporary housing for Bhotekoshi flood-affected families.
Publishing a notice today, the NDRRMA called on partner organizations willing to construct temporary housing for flood-affected families in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading districts in accordance with the standards approved by the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction.

The organizations should clearly mention the number of temporary houses they plan to construct, along with the locations and names of the local levels, in their proposals.
Similarly, an action plan must be included, specifying the estimated time to start construction and the deadline for completion.
The notice also states that details should be provided if any agreement regarding the construction of temporary housing in the flood-hit areas was reached earlier.
NDRRMA Spokesperson Shanti Mahat said willing partner organizations must carry out the construction work in coordination with the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction and the concerned local levels.
“The willing organizations should submit their proposals to the NDRRMA within a week,” she added.
