NC’s correspondence halts voting over parliament regulation

KATHMANDU, April 7: Voting over the new parliament regulation scheduled to be held on Thursday was postponed following a correspondence by Nepali Congress (NC).

The Regulation Drafting Committee was preparing to vote over the regulation to settle disputes, especially over the size of Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee.

Chairman of Regulation Drafting Committee, lawmaker Radhe Shyam Adhikari told Republica Online that the meeting was postponed after NC lawmakers were unable to join.

“The meeting has been postponed until further notice,” he said.

NC lawmakers were busy today in filing nominations for working committee of the parliamentary party.
