KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Ncell has expanded 3G service in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality of Doti district. With the expansion of 3G services to one more district of far-western region, the total number of districts with 3G coverage by Ncell has reached 63, the operator said in a press release.
"We have expanded 3G services to 57 new Village Development Committees (VDCs) in the first seven months of 2015. In 25 of the VDCs, the expansion was done after the earthquake," the release quotes Andras Pali, chief technology officer of Ncell, as saying.

Ncell has been consistently expanding 3G in new VDCs and districts with the aim to increase access and facilitate digital inclusion, which enables people to adopt technology to enhance knowledge, remain connected with the world and tap opportunities, said the release.
"3G and mobile broadband have the potential to leverage the economy and facelift society. That's why we have been requesting Nepal Telecom Authority for technology neutrality, to allow usage of the available frequency resources in the best manner for various services. We have plans to deploy 3G in all of the districts within 3 months from the date technology neutrality is approved by the regulator," Pali said in the release.
