KATHMANDU, Oct. 4: The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has informed that effective measures have been already in place to control birds nearby country airports in a bid to avoid air crashes possibly caused by bird hit.

At a news conference organized here on Thursday by the Authority, it was stressed to remove bushes around the airports and pay special attention on airport sanitation for birds´ control.

Technical Director at the Authority Dev Chandra Lal Karna said there was no alternative to adopt all measures to control birds since the identical colour of runway and birds is also one of the causes of fatal air accidents.
