KATHMANDU, April 27: The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has introduced a dress code for licensed document facilitators working in land revenue and survey offices across the country.
The directive comes alongside the ministry’s move to prohibit middlemen from operating within land revenue offices.
No dress code, but plenty of references to MeToo at Oscars
According to the ministry, authorized document facilitators must now wear designated attire while entering land revenue offices. For men, the dress code includes a blue-violet shirt, violet trousers and a violet coat. For women, a violet coat paired with a blue-violet sari, kurta-suruwal or shirt has been prescribed.
The ministry has also made it mandatory for document writers to wear visible identification cards and display a service charge rate card to ensure transparency in services.
