However, they said they would not have any problem if the process is carried out in line with the seven-point agreement [reached among parties in last November] and the set standard norms of the Nepal Army, according to CPN-UML representative Bhim Rawal. [break]
"We approached the secretariat of the Special Committee to inquire if the office had been informed about the integration process. We became concerned as we came to know that even the office was not informed about the process," said Rawal.
They warned that they would not accept the integration if it is carried out against the spirit of the seven-point agreement and the set standards of the Nepal Army.
"We are confident that the army will take forward the process as per the seven-point agreementand its standard norms," said Rawal.
Coordinator of the secretariat Balananda Sharma also said his office has not yet been officially informed about the integration process.
