During a meeting of the NC office-bearers held at Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Office today, discussion was held regarding resolving Tarai-Madhes problem by addressing demands of agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front, said central committee member Mahesh Acharya.Acharya said, "We are taking initiative to create environment conducive regarding forwarding the constitution amendment proposal in the upcoming House meeting to settle the Madhes problem."
Stating that the NC had on Saturday discussed with leaders of the parties associated with UDMF for the same, leader Acharya said that top leaders of the NC are also holding formal and informal discussions with ruling parties in this regard.
The top leaders of the NC are scheduled to hold discussions with leaders of the ruling parties today.
The meeting also discussed regarding preparation of the upcoming 13th general convention of the party. RSS
