KATHMANDU, Jan 12 : The Nepali Congress (NC) Special Central General Convention has paved the way for the selection of new party leadership after endorsing the “Special Central General Convention Procedures–2025.”

According to the procedures approved on Monday during the closed session of the special convention held at Bhrikutimandap, the tenure of the Central Working Committee elected by the party’s 14th General Convention in December 2021 has already expired. In light of this, the committee will be formally dissolved.
The procedures further stipulate that a new Central Working Committee will be elected to run the party until the 15th General Convention is held, ensuring continuity in party leadership and organizational functioning.
