NC leaders quit party over proposal to split Rukum

DANG, Sept 7: Expressing reservations on the delineation of states, nearly a dozen of Nepali Congress (NC) leaders of Rukum district including district president resigned en masse from their posts on Monday.

They had been demanding for undivided Rukum district.Rukum NC President Man Bahadur Nepali said that they had decided to quit from their post on moral grounds as the party leadership turned the deaf ears on their demand.

They submitted their resignation to Prime Minister and NC President Sushil Koirala at Baluwatar today.
