KALIKOT, June 8: Two people died and one other was injured in a jeep accident in Sera Bazar of Raskot municipality in Kalikot district.
Nepali Congress (NC) leader Man Bahadur Shahi and his wife, resident of Raskot Municipality 1, died in a jeep accident at 7 am on Thursday.

Ritu Singh, a resident of the same ward, was seriously injured. The injured are being treated at Raskot Hospital.
Deepak Simkhada, a local resident, said that the driver was putting on his shoes in Bus Park of Serabazar when the jeep which was on neutral was started. At that time, the passenger was getting into the jeep but it went into the river and the accident occurred.
"The jeep was on start. The accident occurred when the driver was putting on his shoes and the passenger got in the jeep at the same time. The jeep drove behind", said Simkhada. "Three people were onboard the vehicle. Two people died on the spot, while one other was seriously injured.”
Simkhada said preparations are being made to take the injured to another hospital for further treatment via helicopter.
