NAST to train technicians on photovoltaic technology

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) has launched a 5-day solar photovoltaic technicians' training for 23 women technicians enrolled in various educational institutions and working at private companies.

The training, which was inaugurated by a member of the National Planning Commission, Dr Sunil Babu Shrestha, on Sunday, has been launched with the aim to enhance capacity of technicians in alternative energy systems like wind energy, solar energy and micro-hydro. The NAST is providing the training in cooperation with the Arizona State University of the USA.
