Nabil announces sponsorship for girls' education

KATHMANDU, Dec 2: Nabil Bank Ltd has announced sponsorship worth Rs 120,000 a year for girls studying at Shree Gargi Kanya Gurukul Pratisthan. Issuing a press release on Wednesday, the bank said that the sponsorship as a part of the bank's corporate social responsibility. This is the third year that the bank has provided the scholarship, according to the release.

Sashin Joshi, CEO of Nabil Bank, handed over a check for Rs 120,000 to partisthan's Vice President Mana Kafle, Secretary Kamala Subedi and Treasurer Nirmala Pokharel amid a function. According to the release, the school aims to make girls not only proficient in Sanskrit literature including Vedas, Upanisads, Smrities, Puranas etc but also proficient in English language, Science, Computers, Fine Arts, Dance, Music, Yoga and Meditation, among others.
