Muslim's holy scripture Koran's Nepali version now available in DVD

KATHMANDU, Oct 11: The DVD version of the Muslim fraternity's holy book, the Koran, has been prepared in Nepali language for the first time.

Various speakers at a programme organized here today noted that Nepali people who do not understand other languages would be benefitted from the DVD of Koran brought out by Human Development Foundation in the Nepali language.At a programme organized to make public the DVD, former Minister of State for Home Rijwan Ansari said, "It is in the benefit of all to grant religious freedom to individual and make the State secular".

Former Supreme Court Justice Tahir Ali Ansari said the preparation of the Koran's DVD in Nepali language has offered an opportunity to those who want to obtain know more about Koran and Islam.

On the occasion, Chairperson of Islami Association Nepal Maulana Najarul Hussein Falahi, former Chairperson of World Hindu Federation Damodar Gautam and Nepal Bouddha Federation Chairperson Phubu Chhembe Sherpa, among others, also spoke on the occasion. RSS
