KATHMANDU, Jan 17: The Bibeksheel Party has staged a unique protest, carrying clocks against the ‘unconstitutional’ dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR).
In the symbolic protest against House dissolution, the party members made it to Maitighar Mandala in the capital on Sunday afternoon to remind the government that it is time to provide the much-needed vaccine against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). “Mr Prime Minister, this is time for COVID-19 vaccines, don’t take the wrong decision,” read one of the placards the protestors were holding.

The party has been holding protest demonstrations against the dissolution of the 275-member lower house of the federal parliament for the last 28 days. The final round of demonstration in the first phase of the protest will be held on Monday, according to a party leader, Sangita Bataju.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari, at the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, dissolved the HoR on December 20 last year.
