Mother, son killed in elephant attack in Chitwan

According to police, the victims, 25-year-old Ashika Bote and her son Bharat, died instantly during the attack on Saturday night.

CHITWAN, July 5: A tragic incident occurred in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-23 Belhatta, where a mother and her four-year-old son were killed in an elephant attack while they were sleeping at home. 



According to police, the victims, 25-year-old Ashika Bote and her son Bharat, died instantly during the attack on Saturday night.

In an attempt to deter the elephant, Ashika's husband, Poorna, lit a fire, which inadvertently led to their mud house catching fire. Fortunately, the fire was extinguished with assistance from local residents and police.
