NAWALPARASI, April 21: A four-month-old infant died after allegedly being assaulted by his parents under the influence of alcohol in Baudikali Rural Municipality-1, Armale.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhu Nepal at the District Police Office, the infant was seriously injured after his parents, Dipendra Pariyar and Kamala Pariyar, physically assaulted him while intoxicated on Sunday night. The baby succumbed to injuries during treatment at Ramapur Hospital in Palpa.
Infant snatched from mother’s shop recovered dead
Locals reportedly found the infant severely injured on the veranda of the house and rushed him to the hospital, where he was declared dead during treatment.
Police have taken 21-year-old father Dipendra and 35-year-old mother Kamala into custody on charges of murder. Locals said Kamala had married Dipendra as her second husband a few years ago.
