KATHMANDU, Sept 26: The monsoon has weakened across the country, leaving local winds as the main weather influence, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

Skies are expected to remain generally cloudy over the hilly areas and partly cloudy elsewhere. Moderate rain is possible at a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while light rain may occur at one or two spots in the rest of the country, the MFD said.
By tonight, skies are likely to be partly cloudy in Koshi and other hilly regions and mainly fair in the rest of the country. The MFD has warned that moderate rain could still occur at one or two locations in Koshi Province and in the hilly areas nationwide.
