KATHMANDU, Sept 10: The monsoon trough is currently positioned slightly south of its normal location, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a chance of moderate rainfall in parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in some other hilly and Terai regions, the MFD reported.

By tonight, moderate rainfall is expected in parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly regions, and in a few areas of other hilly and Terai regions. The MFD has also warned of heavy rainfall in one or two areas of Madhesh Province, in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, and in the hilly regions of Koshi Province.
