KATHMANDU, May 13: The weather will remain generally cloudy across Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country today, the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) said.
According to the MFD, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces during the afternoon.
Light to moderate rainfall likely today
Light snowfall is also likely in a few high-altitude areas, according to the DFD.
Likewise, strong winds, hail, thunder and lightning may occur at some places in Sudurpaschim Province.
At night, similar weather conditions are expected, with chances of moderate rain, thunder and lightning, and light snowfall in some hilly and mountainous areas.
The MFD mentioned that the country is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds and local winds, along with a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of Nepal.
