KATHMANDU, March 28: The body of a 19-year-old girl, reported missing two weeks ago, has been recovered in Ilam. Bimala Kattel had gone missing from Phakphokthum Rural Municipality-3, on March 14.

Police said her body was found buried underground at Dahal Golai, Phakphokthum-2, Dharnekhop. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Man Bahadur Rai said Bimala's husband, Umesh Giri, has been taken into police custody for investigation, following a complaint filed by Bimala’s father Krishna Lal Giri. Umesh is a resident of Deumai Municipality, Jitpur.
