KATHMANDU, March 4: Water Supply Minister Pradeep Yadav instructed the concerned authorities to immediately repair the main Melamchi water supply pipeline, which burst this morning near Thapathali Chowk in Kathmandu, and restore the water supply.
Upon hearing the news of the pipeline break and the damage in Thapathali, Minister Yadav directed the authorities to repair the broken pipe and ensure the immediate distribution of clean water to the public.

Minister Yadav said, "I am currently in New Delhi to sign an important memorandum of understanding between the governments of Nepal and India for developing the water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (housing) sector. However, I have already instructed the concerned authorities to repair the pipe immediately and restore the Melamchi water supply."
Minister Yadav instructed the technical team of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited (KVW SL) to intensify the repair work, and the Ministry announced that water will be distributed today.
