Rishi Prasad Gautam breathed his last at B&B Hospital in Kathmandu while undergoing treatment after being hit by the bus (Na 3 Kha 8564) at Surkhet buspark at eight in the morning, according to deputy in-charge of Maoists in Surkhet Krishna Bahadur GC who went with Gautam to Kathmandu for treatment. Gautam was flown to the capital on a Tar Air chopper after receiving preliminary treatment for serious injuries on his lower body at Maya Nursing Home in Surkhet.
Surkhet committee of Maoists has expressed doubts about Gautam being hit from the back while sitting in the buspark and decided to form a probe team for investigation into the matter.
