KATHMANDU, Feb 11: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that the ordinances introduced recently by the K P Oli-led government will not be passed.

Addressing a press conference organized in Surkhet on Tuesday, Chairman Dahal made the claim that the ordinances will be difficult to pass through both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly without their support.

“The way the government brought the ordinance by undermining the House was wrong,” Chairman Dahal said, “We have rejected it. There is no possibility of it being passed.”

Chairman Dahal claimed that the National Assembly has also challenged the arrogance of the two-thirds majority. “The Maoists will not allow this ordinance to pass. Its future depends on the decision of the Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSP-N),” Dahal said.

Dahal accused the government of acting in an opaque manner, claiming that this was normal since it was formed to protect the corrupt individuals. “This is a government of corrupt individuals. We will not just stay idle while they continue doing wrongs,” he added.
