Manpower agencies not to charge quake-hit youths

KATHMANDU, May 26: Foreign employment entrepreneurs will be sending youths from the quake-hit districts for foreign jobs without any charge.

Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association has decided not to take money from youths whose house have been damaged by the quake, who lost their relatives and are affected by the devastating quake in any forms.


The association has said it has started process to that end for Malaysia and Gulf countries.

“A decision has been made to send them free of charge if such youths provide recommendation from District Administration Office and VDC,” first vice-chairman Gyan Prasad Gaire said.

He added that all members of the associations and recruiting agencies have been informed on the decision, adding that the it will be implemented from mid-June.

The Home Ministry has said that 14 districts have been hit by April 25 earthquake and subsequent aftershocks.
