KATHMANDU, April 7: Former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwari expressed frustration over Mahendra Singh Dhoni's recent performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Tiwari argued that the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star should have retired from the IPL two seasons ago. Speaking to CricBuzz, he said, "If I sound a bit harsh, I apologize. Dhoni should have retired after the 2023 IPL. That was his best time."

He added, "I feel that Dhoni's recent playing style over the past two years has undermined the fame, name, and respect he earned from cricket." Tiwari stated, "Dhoni's fans cannot bear to see him in this condition. Look at the response from Chennai fans. They are going out on the streets and giving interviews."
In the match against Delhi Capitals last Saturday, Dhoni scored 30 runs off 26 balls. Delhi won the match by 25 runs. Since then, fans have questioned Dhoni's batting performance.
