KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Tremors of earthquake were felt in the Pabhra area of the mountainous district of Manang earlier this morning. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, a 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck the area at 8:22 AM.
The tremors were felt in Manang and surrounding districts. However, no major damage or casualties have been reported so far. Repeated tremors have left locals in fear.
The earthquake tremors were felt shortly after India’s national capital, New Delhi and Siwan area in the Indian state of Bihar felt strong tremors. According to Indian media reports, hours after a 4.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Delhi-NCR early Monday morning, another earthquake of the same magnitude struck Bihar's Siwan at 8:02 AM.

The earthquake in Siwan occurred at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter located at 25.93°N latitude and 84.42°E longitude. The tremors were felt in the region, but no immediate reports of damage or injuries have surfaced.
Earlier, at 5:36 AM, a 4.0-magnitude earthquake hit Delhi-NCR at a depth of 5 km, sending residents rushing out of their homes in panic. The sudden tremors were felt across several high-rise buildings in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Indirapuram, and Ghaziabad.
Following the tremors, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged residents to remain calm and adhere to safety protocols. In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi advised people to stay alert for potential aftershocks while assuring that authorities were closely monitoring the situation.
Despite the intensity of the tremors, no casualties or significant structural damage have been reported in either Delhi or Bihar. Authorities continue to assess the situation and remain vigilant for any aftershocks.
