ILLAM, July 7: A man has killed himself after murdering his wife at Maijogmai Rural Municipality-2 in Ilam district.
Police said that Pitambar Khatiwada, 56, committed suicide after killing his 52-year-old spouse, Radhika.
Superintendent of Police (SP) of Ilam Dilip Kumar Ghimire said Radhika is the first wife of Pitambar.

Ghimire stated that the incident took place at around 10:30 last night and the notice to this was received from the neighbors.
Currently, police personnel have reached the site for investigation.
Radhika, with deep injuries in her cheek, was found dead on the spot, SP Ghimire shared.
Likewise, Pitambar was found dead hanging in a tree some 100 meters away from home.
Police said that further investigations into the case are underway.
