Major political parties--Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist)--have been working on the resolution motion, said leaders. Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang consulted with chief whips of the major three political parties on Wednesday and urged them to come up with a resolution motion unanimously.
"I have suggested the chief whips of the major political parties to prepare the resolution motion with concrete commitments for relief and reconstruction," said Nembang after the meeting with the chief whips.
Although political parties are unanimous about endorsing a resolution motion from the parliament, they are yet to finalize its content as the ruling NC-UML and UCPN (Maoist) have come up with separate proposals.
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has called a three-party meeting for Thursday morning to finalize the content of the resolution motion.
