KATHMANDU, June 13: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Madhesh Provincial Assembly member Saroj Kumar Singh on Thursday.
According to Commission spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel, Singh was arrested from near Ratna Rajya School in Kathmandu-10. Singh has been found to have fraudulently siphoned off the cash deposited in the accounts of various user committees through his secretary, Binod Kumar Lal Kayastha.

The CIAA claimed that Singh committed corruption by keeping the money in the secretary’s and his wife's bank accounts. The Commission has stated that further investigation is underway.
