Nepal, who reached his home town Gaur after nearly 10 months, interacted with his party cadres for around an hour.Responding to the media about the consequences of the upcoming protest of Madhes-based parties, Nepal said, "The upcoming protest should not be similar to the recent one. The issue can be resolved through dialogue."
He further argued that Madhesi leaders have lost their credibility among the people of Madhes.
As this is the time for carrying out development activities, there should not be any hindrance, Nepal said. Otherwise, people themselves will have to face more trouble, according to him. He added that protests have added to people's hardships.
CPN-UML leader Nepal also expressed his dissatisfaction at growing factionalism within his party. Talking to party cadres, he stressed the need for unity, and institutionalization of the party.
Regarding the recent European Union-India joint statement, UML leader Nepal, said, "EU ambassador to Nepal is fully supportive of us. She has termed the constitution progressive."
He expressed his concerns over the current problems such as rampant black market and smuggling. The current government is trying its best to resolve the issues for ensuring good governance, Nepal said.
