KATHMANDU, June 1: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has reduced the existing load-shedding duration by eight hours a week effective from Friday.

As per previous schedule, there was a 56-hour power outage per week. The reduction in load-shedding hours has been attributed to rise in water levels in the rivers and effective control of leakage of electricity.
