American thrash metal band, Testament is headlining this year’s Silence Festival, the festival announced on their Facebook page.

It’ll be the eighth edition of Silence Festival. This year, the fiesta is going to be held at Tangalwood, Naxal, Kathmandu on December 14.


Sharing the happy news for metal fans on Facebook, the festival wrote, “Alright, here is your treat for this year’s Silence. This is going to be a special one! Mark your calendar and make sure you witness this.”


The festival is yet to announce the full line-up. However, according to the same post, there are loads of amazing bands in the festival’s line-up.


Formed in the early 80s, Testament has been considered one of the “big eight” thrash metal bands, sharing the name with Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus, Overkill and Death Angel. The band comprises Chuck Billy on vocals, Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick on guitars, Steve Di Giorgio on bass, and Gene Hoglan on drums.
