Landslide displaces 15

BIRATNAGAR, Sept 14: Fifteen persons from three households of Yansijunj, Nun Daki VDC 8, Sankhuwasabha have been taking refuge at their neighbor´s homes after their houses were destroyed in a landslide. The displaced include families of Furwa Dorchi Sherpa, Fusarng Shepra and Syanbu Sherpa.



Bhola Khatri, Secretary of Nun Daki Village Development Committee said 10 other houses in the area are also under the risk of landslide. Likewise, around 20 houses are under the risk of flood at Lidebagar, Jarayotar VDC-3 in Bhojpur district.



Locals said the houses are at risk due to the increase in the water level of Arun river.
