The carnival started with KUSOM students taking part in a cleaning campaign around Balkumari temple area, Tyagal, Pinchhe and Guita Domaar park area on September 19. The event's main objective was to encourage students to work toward conserving the environment. Different business schools and business houses also participated in the event.There were different contests for participants to partake in like Debate Competition, Marketing Strategy Competition, Business Plan Competition, Panel Discussion, Artistic Biz Junk, and Revamp Ramp, etc. Each competition was related to the environment and environmental issues. The objective was to make Business students understand the importance of Resilience, Rehabilitation and Responsibility concerning the environment and its sustainability.
According to the press release, KUSOM Eco Carnival saw more than a thousand visitors during the period.
The final day of the carnival was set aside for fun activities. There were musical and dance performances from students of different colleges. Before concluding the event, participants enjoyed a fashion show, Revamp Ramp, where attires created out of old clothes, accessories, and other waste materials were the star of the show. For added entertainment, there were food stalls, game stalls, and stalls selling eco-friendly products.
