As per a four-point written agreement with the family and local leaders, the DAO agreed to declare the deceased a martyr, provide due compensation for the bereaved family and government employment to one member of the family, and also take action against any guilty policemen.
Following a postmortem and the agreement with the DAO, Alam’s body was handed over to his family, according to Chief District Officer (CDO) Narahari Baral.
The last rites will be performed at a local cemetery at Tejapaked VDC on Wednesday.
Gaur tense for fourth day, curfew in force
