The assistance was a part of India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Program. The Ward No 8 of Chapbhanjyang VDC had been facing acute shortage of drinking water as most of the water sources dried up after the earthquake.

Apart from this, Neel Kantha Campus building in the district has also been constructed with Indian assistance. India has also gifted seven ambulances and a school in Dhading district.
