JANAKPUR, Nov 14: A coalition of seven parties, including the Nepali Congress, has initiated an impeachment motion against Speaker Ramchandra Mandal of the Madhesh Provincial Assembly.
On Thursday, at the Madhesh Provincial Assembly Secretariat, the seven political parties registered the impeachment motion against Speaker Mandal.

The parties involved are the Nepali Congress, JSP Nepal, Janamat Party, CPN (Maoist Centre), Unified Socialist, Democratic Socialist Nepal, and Citizen Liberation Party, who collectively submitted the impeachment proposal with the endorsements of 64 members of parliament.
The Provincial Assembly comprises 107 members. However, three members of parliament are currently suspended.
